Ruby Glen McCoy, 97, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Hur, West Virginia, a son of the late John Ira and Virginia Riggs McCoy. Glen was formerly employed with O'Ames as a maintenance foreman and retired from the WV Board of Education, where he was a bus operator in Calhoun County, WV.
He enjoyed going to Florida for the winter, where he fished, and was very active in the Belpre Senior Citizens Association since the early 1970s.
He is survived by one daughter, Norma J. Kemp of Belpre; one sister, Bessie Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona; one granddaughter, Kellie Bloss and husband, Todd, of Parkersburg, WV; two great-grandchildren, Tiffany Bloss of Marietta, Ohio and Chad Bloss and wife, Sara, of Parkersburg; and one great-great-grandchild, Bailey Staats of Marietta.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Almira Whytsell McCoy in 1984; his second wife, Mary Stump McCoy; two sisters, Myrtle Weaver and Thelma Roach; and five brothers, Howard, George, Edward, Ernest and Holly McCoy.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the Belpre Senior Citizens Association, 1614 Washington Blvd., Belpre, with Chaplain David Kaufman officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Thursday at the center.
