James E. Jones, 77, of Harrisville, West Virginia, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at his residence.
He was born May 25, 1930, in Freed, Calhoun County, a son of the late Pearl and Stella Jones. James was an industrial painter having worked out of the Painters Local Union 867 AFLCIO Cleveland, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Frances Jones; five daughters, Judy D'Apice of Euclid, Ohio, Tina Mullins of Spring, Texas, Marie Hearne of Corsicana, Texas, Lisa Moore of Charlotte, N.C., and Liz McNiel of Charlotte; one son, David Jones of Wickliffe, Ohio; five brothers, Mac Jones of Brohard, W.Va., Herschel Jones of Big Springs, W.Va., Ivan Jones of Brohard, Lester Jones of Smithville, W.Va., and Danny Jones of Smithville; two sisters, Maxine Goodnight of Macfarlan, W.Va., and Gracie Ayers of Smithville; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Jones; two sisters, Ada Billy and Betty Able; and one grandson, Bobby Merrill.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Pastor Robert Perine officiating. Burial will follow in the Chevauxdefrise Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. |
