Ira Levin's award-winning play, Deathtrap, will be presented three
successive nights beginning Wednesday, April 9. The event will be held in the College Administration Building Auditorium.
The screenplay revolves around the question - how far would you go to realize your dreams?
Imagine: You're 50 years old and haven't had a successful project in
10-years. Your wife supports you. You're driven to success but all you
seem to find are dead ends.
Then a young man comes along with a "sure fire" scheme to make a cool
$2-million. He apparently has no friends, no family, and you think he's
untraceable.
The catch: All you have to do is kill him, and the money, the project
and riches are yours.
Adding to the temptation - the young man is so capable and nice he just
irritates you.
You have motive, means and opportunity. Would you?
The play, set in 1978, revolves around a playwright-Sidney Bruhl-who has
had a string of flops. The young man has written "the perfect five-
character, one-set money maker." This is what has eluded Sidney.
Can he kill for success? Will he?
Join the cast for the fun of finding out.
Tickets are available at the door. Students are admitted free, all
others are $3. Showtime is 7 p.m. each night.
Because of staged violence and mild swearing, this play would earn a
PG-13 rating as a movie.
