Harold L. Stump, 76, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away March 31, 2008 following an extended illness.
Born in Gilmer County, he was a son of the late Alfred and Almedia Kerby Stump. He was retired from the US Navy and Kaiser Aerospace of California. He was a Mason and a Shriner and was a Past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice Stump and a son, Larry Don Stump of Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Patricia Hudson of San Diego, California, Brenda Latham of Imperial Beach California and Sandra Diana Brady of Dunlap, Tennessee; a sister, Joann Stump of Grantsville; two brothers, Bernard Stump (Irene) of Pineville and Alfred "Babe" Stump (Judy) of Parkersburg; 11 grandchildren including Roger and Richard Campbell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Carl Stump.
Funeral services will be be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Collins Community Cemetery at Stumptown with Military Graveside Rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30 until time of services Thursday.
