Glennis Carter, 89 of Aurora, Ohio, formerly of Elmira, Braxton County, died Saturday,
November 3 in Streetsboro, Ohio.
Born in Braxton County she was a daughter of the late James P. and Florence Santy Hardway.
She was a member of the Gip Community Church at Gip, Braxton County.
Surviving are three daughters, Nella Champion and Norma Perry both of Streetsboro and
Connie Knepp of Aurora, Ohio, two brothers, Gene Hardway of Mt. Zion, WV and James
Hardway of Elmira, WV, two sisters, Irene Lambert and Hallie Lambert both of Strange Creek,
WV, nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Carter and two brothers, Casto and Brooks
Hardway, one sister, Nellie Reed.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home at Arnoldsburg, WV.
Interment will be in the Hardway Cemetery at Elmira. Friends may call at the funeral home from
6 to 9 p.m. Monday.
