| Tressie Church, 92, of Orma, West Virginia, died March 28, 2008 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer
She was born April 5, 1915 at Mt. Zion, Calhoun County, the daughter of the late John and Maggie Wood Crawford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Letherbark Community Church.
She is survived by daughters, Ernestine and Christine Starcher of Arnoldsburg, and Karen Bragg of Ripley, WV; sons, Fred Church, Jr. and his wife Yvonne of Orma and Victor Church and his wife Linda of Newton Falls, Ohio; sister, Bea Shaffer of Spencer; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Church in 1982, son, Bernard Eugene Church, and nine sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Reverends Austin White and David Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Starcher Cemetery on Henry's Fork.
Visitation is Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. |
