Caden Arnold wins championship in 175 lb class

The World of Wrestling Cliff Keen Eastern World Championships were held at the Charleston Civic Center on Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22nd.
In excess of 800 wrestlers from 27 states competed in this prestigious tournament. Three Calhoun High wrestlers entered the tournament after completing their high school season, two winning 1st place and the third placing 2nd.
Wrestling in the 125 pound class, Calhoun junior, Sean Gungle, placed 1st. At 135 pounds, freshman Ben Laughlin finished 2nd, and in the 175 pound class, freshman Caden Arnold won the championship.

All three wrestlers will be competing in Virginia Beach March 26-28 in the National High School Coaches Association national championships.
Arnold and Laughlin will be in the Freshman Nationals, Gungle will compete in the Junior Nationals. The top eight placers in each weight class will win All America honors.
