Shirley Ann Starcher, 61, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at her home.
She was born July 23, 1946 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Milford S. and Pauline Miller. She was retired from B.F. Goodrich, formerly worked at Norris Industries, Kellwood Company and as a aide at Gordon Memorial Hospital. She was a Christian and attended the Steele Hollow Community Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a friend to everyone.
She is survived by four sons, Luke Starcher of Barberton, Ohio, Matt Starcher of Akron, Ohio, and Mark and John Starcher both of Spencer; one step son, Billy Starcher of Akron; sis sisters, Patsy Milhoan of Reedy, West Virginia, Pauline Lawson, Myrtle Sue McKown and Madeline Fouty all of Spencer, Melinda Jones of Charleston, West Virginia, and Debra Marks of Millstone, West Virginia; one half sister, Ruth Starcher of Mt. Zion, West Virginia; seven brothers, Phil, Bob, Jack, Larry, Tom and Bill Miller all of Spencer, and Curtis Miller of Reedy; three grandchildren, and one step grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Starcher in 2004; one daughter, Tammy Denise Starcher; three sisters, Mildred Ash and Jennifer and Janice Miller; and a brother, Milford Miller, Jr.
Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Craig Hill Cemetery near Spencer.
Visiting hours are Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
