A historic piece of Parkersburg history will be torn down today.
The Blizzard Mansion is scheduled to be torn down around eight-thirty this morning.
Judge Reese Blizzard, who launched his illustrious career from Grantsville, built the mansion about 1912.
Blizzard left Grantsville after his wife, Lillie Stump, died early in life.
Blizzard was a founding father of south Parkersburg.
The property along with Ralph's Supermarket and three other homes will be destroyed to make room for new development.
