Susie V. Starcher, 81, of Spencer, W.Va., died Oct. 29, 2001 at home.
She was born March 9, 1920 at Leatherbark, W.V, a daughter of the late Andrew
Jackson and Arthelia Kerby Roach. She
was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and was a member of the First Baptist
Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Earline Starcher in 1978; one sister,
Hattie Whiting; and two brothers, Denver
and Denzil Roach.
She is survived by three daughters, Reta Carol Wycoff of Columbus, Ohio, Lois S.
Cashdollar of Cross Lanes, and Norma S.
Harper of Spencer; four sons, Ronald R. Starcher of Falling Waters, W.Va., Supreme
Court Justice Larry V. Starcher of
Cross Lanes, Andrew Jackson Starcher of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Warren E.
Starcher of Spencer; two sisters, Sadie
Wagoner of Parkersburg, and Mytrle McCauley of Ravenswood; twenty grandchildren
and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home,
Spencer with Rev. Victor Hayes
officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
