Andrew Lee "Hippy Andy" Snider, 60, of Arnoldsburg died February 28, 2008 at the Clarksburg VA Hospital.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was an electrician by trade, a master wood
craftsman and had countless other skills he shared with his friends.
Family members said "The Lord must've
thought you had worked hard and long enough on
this land," remembering his devotion to family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine; four children, Alicia (Jason) Rhodes of Gandeeville, Justin (Becky) Snider of Arnoldsburg, Ivory(Jeremy) Boatright of Spencer and Ryan Snider of North Carolina; seven grandchildren.
Also surviving, his mother, Geneva Snider of Spencer, who
just turned 90; a brother, Jim Snider (Judy) of Ravenna Ohio; three sisters, Doris Davis of Spencer, twin-sister Sandra Marie
Ferrebee of Ravenna Ohio and Wanda Sue Crawford of North Carolina.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and countless friends in Ohio, West Virginia and
Florida.
Preceding him in death is his father, James Lester Snider, once nicknamed by Andy as "Hillbilly Bear" and one older brother, E. Ray
Snider.
The body has been cremated.
A memorial service has been scheduled at the Calhoun Park barn Saturday, March 8, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. where family members and friends can visit.
