| Bessie P. Nutter, 78, of Fleming, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Muskingum Valley Nursing Home in Beverly, Ohio. Bessie was born March 16, 1929, in Rockdale, W.Va., to the late Ralph and Emma Cradock Sampson.
She is survived by one daughter, Dianna (Pete) Wallace of Fleming, Ohio, and one son, Dennie Nutter of Reedsville, Ohio; three granddaughters, Cassie Nutter of South Carolina, Tammy Wallace (Joe) Thomas and their children, Braden Sheppard and Jasmine Thomas of Fleming, Ohio, and Melissa Piatt (Tim) Morris and their daughter, Alexandria Morris, of Kilbuck, Ohio; two grandsons, Kevin Wallace and his son, Cameron Wallace, of Fleming, Ohio, and Doug (Vicky) Piatt and their children, Hannah, Levi and Hunter, of Mississippi; and one sister, Nina Mae Saunders of Latta, S.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deo E. Nutter, on June 21, 1998; one daughter, Linda Sue Piatt Sands; five sisters, Vivan Simpson, Thelma Roach, Levil, Velta and Alta Starcher; and five brothers, Ralph, Frank, Ernest, Holly and Sarse Sampson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel in Marietta. Burial will follow at Warren Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
