Lizzie Mae Linville Stout, 73, of Mt. Zion, West Virginia was called home to be with her Savior Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after a brief illness.
She was born August 11, 1934 to the late Billie and Veta "Pete" Hathaway Linville. She worked at Rubber Fabricators, and the former Calhoun General Hospital as a nurses aid for many years, of which she spoke with great pride and accomplishment. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, a homemaker and "Mommy" to her precious dog and loving companion Bambi, who loved, adored and protected her.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Steve) Valentine of Cleburne, TX, Brenda Muck of Chesapeake, VA, and Kathy Stout of Richmond, VA; two sons, Bill of Carbondale, CO, and Bob (Joyce) of Orma, WV. Eight grandchildren, Steve (Christine) and Brian (Sharon) Valentine of Cleburne, Chris Muck of Chesapeake, Brandon Church and Sarah McCutcheon of Richmond, Patty West, Jordan Delaney, and Zachary Stout of Orma.
Six great grandchildren, Jonathan and Kristen Valentine, Brooklyn Valentine, Kaylan McCutcheon, Tori and Paige West. She is also survived by a brother, Hibbert (Wanda) Linville of Mineral Wells, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Eugene Stout on May 24, 1993; three brothers, Calvin, William and Howard Linville, and a sister Isabel "Sis" Raines.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, February 25 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Charles McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. |
