Owners Alice and Mary Hickman welcome guests
In this tiny little slice of America, it is a proud announcement that the Grantsville
Hotel (and soon to be restaurant) has re-opened, the only such facility in Calhoun
County. The hotel, which has a history of over 100 years, offers ten rooms ranging in
price from $35 to $58.
Owners Alice and Mary Hickman and crew are working to re-open the restaurant,
hopefully sometime in December.
Comfortable rooms start at $35
Baths have been remodeled
Single rooms, doubles, small suites and even one large family room can be found on
the second floor. There is cable TV and air conditioning, including smoking and
non-smoking rooms.
The restaurant will be a full-menu family-style facility with down-home country
cooking, offering dinners, steaks, salads, specialty subs, sandwiches - breakfast,
lunch and dinner. It will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
"We are excited about remodeling the hotel and restaurant, and hope that residents
will let people know about our services," said Alice and Mary.
