| The splitting of West Virginia into two Area Codes has been met with widespread opposition.
The PSC has changed its mind and decided to issue the state's second area code to new phone customers only.
Public Service Commission spokeswoman, Sarah Robertson says the commission re-thought the area code issue after hearing about the economic impact from businesses that would have been forced to change.
