Lost the oldest rooster. Now I have only the babies from Haverty's stock. They look like their parents. Hope the hen makes it through settings.
Ellie Mullens called from Ohio to tell me how much she likes reading the Chloe News. Nice talking to her as I was giving Dora Starcher a perm.
I loved the thunder storm that went through here Monday morning. It was loud and rained hard. Heather got the same thing an hour and a half later in Nettie. My roof is leaking even after Ernest Edgell put tar on it.
Looking forward to a visit from Heather and the Ruckman girls on Tuesday.
Pigs are getting big. Blaine King and I stopped by Gassaway Southern States and bought middlins and after seven days you can tell the difference.
Went to visit with Cecil Cottrell and Ivy over on Reedy Road and lucked out on three hens and dropped-in at the Chenoweth place on Nicut. We went from there to visit with Boots King and Gene Wallbrown on upper Nicut.
My bulbs that Frank Metz brought me last summer from Emma Metz is coming up and he says they're beautiful white blooms in March.
Happy to see that Buddy Watkins is doing great with his new home on White Oak. He is doing a great job with paneling and all new windows. It looks great.
Thankful to Blaine King for all his help that he does for this whole community up here on the Upper West Fork.
