| Thelma Starcher Griffin, 86, of Parkersburg, passed away Feb. 2, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 27, 1921, at Arnoldsburg, W.Va., the daughter of the late Lital and Ruth Anderson Starcher. Thelma was a homemaker and a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church.
Thelma is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ferrell Griffin; two sons, Joseph Griffin of Little Hocking and Eric Griffin and wife, Christina, of Caldwell; two grandchildren, Aaron Jarvis and wife, Tish, of Williamstown and Austin Griffin of Caldwell; and one sister, Faye Hibbs of Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly R. Jarvis, and one sister, Leno Ash.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Paul Drake officiating. Entombment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. |
