| Alva Williams, 88, of Ripley, West Virginia, passed away January 31, 2008 at Elder Care of Ripley.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Jesse and Mary Stalnaker Williams. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was a former employee of the West Virginia Department of Highways.
Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Diane Dennis of Strasburg, Ohio, and a sister, Irene Stevens of Loraine, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hale, Albert and Holly Williams; and three sisters, Opal Bowers, Gladys Williams and Millie Holbert.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3rd at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Grantsville with Military Graveside Rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until time of services Sunday. |
