Glenville took control of the Monday evening game early, leading throughout, and defeated Davis & Elkins 77-67.
Despite a wealth of talent, the Pioneers have been struggling all
season. The record shows the scars of defeat. The team is 5-12
overall, 3-7 in the conference.
Monday night in Glenville they played more like a team, passes
were quick, they all looked for the open man.
Fans will find out soon enough if the new strategy will stick.
They face Fairmont at home on Thursday.
Mykail Vibbert led all scorers with 17. Marcus Catney followed with
13, Anthony Kimble also added 13 and Tryvan Leech added 11.
HIGH-FLYING MARCUS - Marcus Catney wowed fans a few times with
dunks that he makes look easy. He finished the night with 13 points.
BACKDOOR FOR TWO - Anthony Kimble got two of
his 13-points with this drive under the basket.
