| 8:40 PM - Ritchie County EMS and the State Police responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting near the intersection of State Rt. 16 and US 50.
Early reports said a man shot himself, reportedly driving a truck that was the subject of an earlier alert.
Authorities summoned the county coroner.
A spokesperson for McDonald's declined to confirm or deny if the shooting took place on restaurant property. The restaurant opened about two weeks ago, and was the destination mentioned on the 911 call.
Authorities have yet to release information regarding the incident.
