| Elizabeth Ruth Litton Lowther, 83, of Vienna, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008, in Eagle Pointe, Parkersburg, after an extended illness.
She was born August 5, 1924, in Roane County, a daughter of the late Virgil Perry and Hattie Drake Litton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Roger Reed, Dean Reed and William Robert Lowther.
Mrs. Lowther was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She attended the Faith Baptist Church, Vienna.
Survivors include her husband, William I. Lowther of Vienna; daughter, Linda Sue Reed Dotson of Parkersburg; son, Jeffery Lowther of Ill.; sisters, Hazeldene Furr of Cleveland, Ohio and Arlene Wilson of Tx.; brother, James Willard Litton of Parkersburg; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gay.
Friends may call Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
