Calhoun High School Wrestlers participated in the Pat Vance Invitational at Nitro, WV January 4th and 5th.
Calhoun Placed 2nd out of 21 teams participating. This is the highest Calhoun has ever placed at the Pat Vance Invitational.
Ben Laughlin tied with Seth Easter for the Outstanding Wrestler Award of the Tournament.
Wrestlers taking 1st place were: 125 lbs. Sean Gungle, 130 lbs. Cody Clark, 135 lbs. Ben Laughlin.
Zac Hanshaw won 2nd place at 103 lbs.
Third place winners were: 112 lbs. Nick Stevens, 152 lbs. Jeff Goodrich.
Taking 4th place were: 145 lbs. Aaron Yoak, 215 lbs. Zac Yeager.
Fifth place at 171 lbs. was Caden Arnold.
Also placing first in the freshman tournament was 112 lbs. Aaron Dawson-Jarvis.
Congratulations go out to 285 lbs. Graham Knight for winning his 1st wrestling match.
