SPECIAL MEETING
CALHOUN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
OCTOBER 15, 2001
STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA:
COUNTY OF CALHOUN: At the Pleasant Hill School, Grantville, West Virginia; Monday, October 15, 2001
MEMBERS PRESENT: Juanita Berdine, Ralph Cuningham, Richard Fitzwater, Carlene Frederick, and Burl Simers

The meeting was called to order by President, Richard Fitzwater at 7:00 p.m.
MINUTES:
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mrs. Frederick seconded that the minutes of the October 2, 2001 meeting be approved. Motion carried unanimously.
The Pleasant Hill School LSIC made a presentation to the Board.
NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mr. Simers seconded that the following new business be approved:
A. Volunteer Agreements
1. Lynnette Guiffre - Arnoldsburg School
2. Chris McKown - Calhoun Middle/High School
3. Susan Metheney - Calhoun Middle/High School
4. Teresa Ann Self - Calhoun Middle/High School
B. Contract - Lynda Jarvis
Motion carried unanimously.
PERSONNEL:
Upon the Superintendent's recommendation, Mr. Cunningham moved and Mrs. Frederick seconded that the following matters be approved:
A. Resignation - Deborah Hartshorn - Tutoring Coordinator - Effective October 12, 2001.

ADJOURNMENT:
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mrs. Berdine seconded that the meeting adjourn at 8:24
p.m. with the next meeting November 5, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Board of Education Office. Motion carried unanimously.
