| William Donald Barker, 94, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away December 31, 2007 at his home.
Born in Braxton County, he was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and was a former employee of Scott Lumber Company of Parkersburg.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Parsons Jones Barker; 5 sons, Max Barker and Larry Barker of Parkersburg, Delmas Barker of Mineral Wells, Ronnie Barker of Rockport, and Frank Barker of Texas; a daughter, Sue Jones of Parkersburg; 4 step sons, Francis Jones, Harry Jones, and Frank Jones all of Parkersburg, and Herbert Jones of Illinois; a step daughter, Mary Britton of Parkersburg; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Bud Corbitt will officiate. Interment will be in the Collins Community Cemetery at Stumptown.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. |
