On Saturday, October 13, 2001, 103 parents and children left Pleasant Hill School for the
Blennerhassett State Park. The group traveled on the 10 a.m. boat to the island and then took the
wagon and mansion tours, spending the remainder of their time enjoying the island.
They returned to
the mainland on the 1:30 boat and then had a meal at the Holiday Inn before returning to Grantsville.
The trip was funded through the Lights On! 21st Century Community Learning Grant.
