Calhoun Middle School Girls traveled to Walton to face the team for the second time, Monday night.
In a game that lasted, and even though shooting only 18 of 43 from the free throw line, CMS A-team defeated Walton 38-28. Brittany Miller led the attack with 14 points, Savannah Church and Rachelle Gerwig each with 11, and Amber Wilford 2.
CMS B-team was defeated by Walton 32-7 their first go around on December 4. December 17 was a different day. CMS B-team gave up a lead late in the game to allow Walton to tie the game at the end of regulation. But in a hard fought overtime, Shayla Arnold hit the only 2 points in to help CMS B-team defeat Walton 20-18. Brittney Norman led with 9 points, Shayla Arnold 6, and Carlena Craddock 5.
CMS Girls next game is Friday at Gilmer County.
