Norma Collins of the Band Boosters spoke to the board about cuts being made to the Middle School music program. (See earlier Herald story) The board went into a 20-minute executive session to discuss a report on board property. The board approved Volunteer Agreements for Judy Kerns - Calhoun Middle-High School; Betty Ellison - Calhoun High School; Rodney Siers - Calhoun Middle School, in addition to approving the resignations of Betty White, interim finance director and music teacher Michael Franek. The board employed Wilbert Kerby - Custodian III - Calhoun Middle-High School; Lori Parsons - Mentor, Itinerant Half-Time Special Education Teacher, PHE. Substitute teachers, approved Trina Beall (Pending Certification) and Kelley Sampson (Pending Certification) Approved substitute service personnel Brad Stump - Substitute Custodian (Effective 12/4/07). Approved contracted services Shari Johnson - Project Director - CMHS Youth Force Program Job Postings: one-half Time General Music Teacher - Calhoun Middle-High School Signator for checks: Donnie Pitts - Removal (Effective 12/01/07) and Patricia Riddle - Signator (Effective 12/01/07). Transportation request: Spanish and Art - Dayton, Ohio; Dayton Art Institute and Theater Performance, December 17-18, 2007 Finances approved Invoices - $282,707.33, Supplements, Transfers, Monthly Financial Report. Board member Cynthia Dale was pleased to see band boosters present. The next board meeting is Monday, January 7, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at the Calhoun County Board of Education.
