A 38-year-old Arnoldsburg man is in critical condition in ICU at Charleston Area Medical Center, according to a hospital spokesperson Wednesday evening.
Roger Jones received multi-trauma, including fractured legs, one with a compound fracture, when his car collied with a wrecker in a sharp turn on Rt. 16 south of Chloe.
A passenger in the car, Kim Tanner, is still in ICU in CAMC, being evaluated for possible surgery.
The other passenger, Jone's 15-year-old son, was reportedly treated and released.
The King wrecker driver from Clay was identified as Jack Schastall, 39. He was also taken to CAMC for evaluation, not seriously injured.
Sources said Schastall removed Jones and the passengers from the wreckage, with both vehicles catching on fire.
Calhoun sheriff Carl Ballengee said "They were lucky to get out of the vehicle quickly."
