Last week I was as sick as I ever remember. 105.5 temp. One night I woke up so wet from sweat I had to change everything. My skin was so hot and felt like tiny nettles stinging. Day seven I woke up around 3 a.m., my nose was clear and suddenly I was well. Never heard tell of such a thing. It's good to be back and feeling fine.

Blaine King drove Daddy to Big Otter Clinic for his flu shot. He's feeling great, and fed the pigs while I was sick. Tyler was here, he cooks, and kept Ray up to par.

Visiting Glendon and Alicia Davisson were Alicia's son Troy and wife Sara of Dallas, Texas, her son Brian of Georgia, mother Dot Hopkins of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Tom Stutler, of Akron, Glendon's nephew, Glendon's brother Buddy and his son Jonathan of Wooster, Ohio.

Alicia and her mother Dot visited with Ray Siers Saturday afternoon. Dot was to leave the following Tuesday. Only got to say hi and bye to Dot as I was into a few haircuts. Always nice seeing Dot. Just to hear that southern drawl of hers for only a few minutes is a good thing.

Talked to Gay Bailey to get the number for her roofer. When it rain and the wind blows water leaks through the ceiling light fixtures. Gay said hers did too. We both agreed that was scary. Thanks Gay, Mr. Weaver is coming out this week-end to give an estimate. Scott and Gay had all the kids in and everyone had a good time.

Gene and Vern Deal visited with Ray and I last Sunday evening and brought Daddy some peanut butter fudge. They stayed for a good while, Gene telling good stories and Ray remembering some things. Ray set on the couch with them. It was a pleasant evening.

Ernest Edgell spent the night with us last Monday and left before I got up. He was watching San Francisco play the Settle Sea Hawks.

Pigs are getting bigger and the chickens are beautiful except the young rooster has a crippled crow. He makes a good effort.

Monday evening here 8:21 p.m. thunder and lighting! I love it.

Everyone have a wonderful week!
