Richard E. Poorman, 65, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away November 10, 2007 at his home following a long illness.
Born at Hershey, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Harvey and Blanche Felty Poorman. He was a carpenter and was a member of the Cornerstone Praise and Worship Church at Grantsville.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Poorman; and two daughters, Nancy (Mike) Whipkey of Arnoldsburg, and Lori (Donald) Wilson of Grantsville; a sister, Judy Poorman of Palmyra, PA; 5 grandchildren, Kevin and Steven Cunningham, Samantha Wilson, Jeromy Poling and Stacie (Michael) Frederick.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Whipkey, II.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 13 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Reverends Kevin Church and Rick Swearengin will officiate. Interment will be in the Collins Community Cemetery at Stumptown, WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the services Tuesday. |
