| Lizzie Bell Beckett, 66 of Orma, WV, died Saturday, January 20th. at
the home of her daughter
Kay Nicholas, with whom she made her home.
Born in Nicholas County, she was the daughter of the late John and
Dolly Smith Nutter. She
was a Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Beckett is survived by five daughters, Kay Nicholas and Evelyn
Beckett of Orma, Margaret
Rush of Sand Ridge, WV, Ruth Rhodes of Parkersburg, WV, and Barbara
Taylor of Mt. Airy,
NC. Two sons, Virgil Beckett of Sand Ridge and Danny Beckett of
Orma.
Also surviving are three sisters, Patricia Nutter and Marie Bennett of
Fayetteville, WV, and Bell
Wood of Virginia. Two brothers, Amos and Gene Nutter of Beckwith, WV.
Sixteen grandchildren,
two great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two step great
grandchildren.
Mrs. Beckett was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two
sisters, and two infant
daughters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Stump Funeral
Home in Arnoldsburg,
WV. Elder George Rose will officiate. Interment will be in the
Nicholas Cemetery, Orma. Friends
may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. |
