First, we would like to offer our sincerest condolences to the Bartlett family from the Beason family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Best of luck to the Calhoun County Red Devils with their showdown against the St. Mary's Blue Devils. I have no advice for a game plan. (I might be full of a lot of things, but no game plan here). I can only give you my standard phrase, "good luck with that."

Best of luck to the Ritchie County Rebs for their upcoming season finale. I hope the weather will be more pleasant to end the season.

May both teams play their best and have the least amount of calls from the little dude in a very unflattering outfit. I would find it very embarrassing if someone felt they had to announce my name in front of the planet and state exactly what mistake I had made. My reply to that would be, "well, didn't you know you can't wear white after Labor Day?"

I need to give a shout out to Brian's Partners in Crime. May you all have enough quarters to get you through until next Payday. I know it's hard, do the best you can.

Everyone needs to pencil in some dates on their social calendars. The Halloween-Fall Fling will be coming up on November 3, 2007 at the Rainbow Grange. Please attend so you can observe and learn the rules of Halloween etiquette that only I can provide. Two very important things to know, how to "work the room" and "stashing the best Halloween candy." These are critical pieces of knowledge for every social butterfly to have while in attendance at these kinds of parties. To be able to work the room and stash candy at the same time is very rare. However, since I am the "Yoda" of social events, I have mastered this skill.

The Magical Night of Giving, is on November 4, 2007 at the Grand Central Mall. We will be working one of the Sears doors. Please come to our door and donate a small amount to save big on Mall items. When you receive your credit card statement, you can joyfully think to yourself all that shopping benefited a good cause. Make sure to tell your husbands that when the must-have boots were purchased, you were just feeling the love from your small charitable contribution.

November 10, 2007 is the Longaberger Game Night at the Rainbow Grange. Tickets are still available from all Grange members at ten dollars each. One can also purchase the tickets at my place of business. Stop by and get some. You can also make a hair and tanning appointment while you are there.

I haven't seen my favorite "Aunt Pete" in some time. I hope I still have it going on like she does when I am her age. If you haven't met "Aunt Pete", you need to find the opportunity to do so. We need to start charging admission when she comes to our shop. It would be worth it to come and set a spell with her. She just grabs the perm by the rods and lets it fly. If I am a tenth of the woman she is when I grow up, I will be very happy!

We would like to thank all of you for helping our boys fill up their sales sheets. It is only November and I have really had enough of emptying my pockets as well as everyone else's. I hate asking anyone to buy something when I can't really afford it myself. But, we would like to thank all who have helped in any way.

It is rumored that Elvis will make a Beason appearance on October 30 and 31. I don't think he will be driving a Pink Cadillac. I think he will have to be chauffeured in a Torrent. I heard he has the hottest chauffeur that Taylor money can buy!

Keep warm and remember Halloween is the one day out of the year that you can truly be offensive with your whole heart. Go for it!
