The Northern WV Rural Health Education Center (NWVRHEC) is pleased to announce three upcoming seminars in the local region.
Seminars offered are, "Methamphetamine: Recognition and Safety for the Public Sector Employee" featuring speaker Jerry Harvey, National Corrections & Law Enforcement Training & Technology Center, "Oxycontin Abuse" featuring speaker Connie Turner, Glenville State College professor of Psychology, and "Obesity: Promotion of Physical Activity and a Healthy Diet" featuring speakers Keri Kennedy and Kristy Blower, WV Office of Healthy Lifestyles.
Up to 4 Continuing Education credits are available for CME, DO, Addiction and Prevention, Counseling, CHES, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Social Work. Each workshop will be from 10 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. and is hosted by the NWVRHEC.
Dates and locations are:
· WVU-Parkersburg CCE Bldg: "Methamphetamine: Recognition and Safety for the Public Sector Employee" â November 1, 2007 10:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
· WVU-Parkersburg CCE Bldg: "Obesity: Promotion of Physical Activity and a Healthy Diet" â November 8, 2007 10:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
· St. Joseph's Hospital: "Oxycontin Abuse" â November 6, 2007 10:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
There is a $39 fee to attend - lunch is provided.
