DEADLY FAMILY SHOOTING - Police responded to a deadly family shooting Saturday in Fayette County. Fayette County Sheriff Bill Laird said a father shot his son and then killed himself about 3:30 p.m. on Shawver Bridge Road near Hico.

The sheriff said 61-year-old Clifford Dale Taylor shot his son, 33-year-old Clifford Eugene Taylor. He then then turned the gun on himself.

The son was flown to a CAMC and remains in the intensive care unit.

CHARLESTON MAN STABBED SIX TIMES - A Charleston man was stabbed at least six times at a residence Saturday morning. The victim has been identified as Jonathan Smith. Charleston Police said Robert Smith kicked in the door, entered the residence, and stabbed Jonathan Smith several times in the back with a three inch double edge knife.

He was transported to CAMC General Hospital for treatment.

Robert Smith is charged with malicious wounding and burglary and is being held in the South Central Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.

ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING CAUSES DEATH - An accidental shooting in Charleston has left one dead. The Charleston Police Department said Timothy Williams, 26, shot John Joseph, 27, in the back.

Williams told police he was cleaning his gun and it accidentally went off, shooting Joseph, who later died.

Sergeant Aaron James of the Charleston Police Department said that at this point the shooting appears to be accidental but police are still investigating.

SHOTS FIRED IN HUNTINGTON - Police are looking for two suspects after multiple shots were fired Sunday in Huntington.

According to Sgt. Booth with the Huntington Police Department, authorities responded to a call after residents in the area contacted Cabell County 911.

Booth said the two suspects, described as black males, fled in either a maroon-colored Chrysler PT Cruiser or a late-model Chevy Blazer.

Booth said they have been unable to find a victim and are investigating the shooting.

Several residents said a man stepped out of the vehicle and began shooting at another man who was leaving a residence.
