Minnie Hamilton Health System (MHHS) is pleased to announce the newest member of our staff, Dr. Emily Ward. Dr. Ward specializes in pediatrics and internal medicine and will be housed at the main site in Grantsville.
Dr. Ward (left) received her doctorate in Osteopathic medicine from New York College in 2000. She completed her combined residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Since that time, Dr. Ward has maintained a private practice in Jackson County, West Virginia.
Dr. Ward grew up in upstate New York in the rural town of Easton, population around 2,000 people. She was a National Health Service Scholar. Dr. Ward has a heart for rural communities and desires to bring a strong pediatric presence to Calhoun County.
She would love to start a Reach Out and Read Program in the area, as well.
Dr. Ward began full-time at MHHS on Monday, October 15. She is housed in the Annex Clinic, Monday through Friday. Patients can call 354-9244 to schedule an appointment. |
