Red Devil marching band wins recognition at
53rd West Virginia Black Walnut competition

The Calhoun County Middle-High School Band participated in the annual Black Walnut Festival Band and Majorette competition in Spencer this past weekend.
The band won several awards, placing 3rd in Class D division for Parade, 3rd place Field Commander Emily Thomas, and 3rd Place Field Show.
The band is under the direction of Bridgette Bowen.
The majorettes won 3rd place overall in the majorette division out of 12 majorettes groups. The majorettes are under the instruction of Patty Haught.
