The meat processing laboratory is a recent additional to Roane County High School's Vocational Agriculture Program. The lab opened its doors in the fall of 2005.
After two years of successful operation, the program would like to open the meat processing laboratory up to include adult educational opportunities. WVU Extension Service seeks to offer educational opportunities in communities across West Virginia as the need arises and resources are available; therefore, these classes are a perfect partnership.
These classes will be for the novice, beginner meat cutter and is not intended to substitute for any retail meat cutting training program. Participants will be expected to comply with all state regulations and safety requirements while taking part in this class. The instructor for the classes will be RCHS Vocational Agriculture Teacher, Jim Workman.
To pre-register for the classes or if you have any questions, please contact Brandy Brabham at the WVU Extension Service at 927-0975 or 354-6332 or via email at brandy.brabham@mail.wvu.edu |
