Oleta L. Heiney 84, of Ravenna, Ohio, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Regency Hospital in Ravenna.
She was born January 27, 1923 in Grantsville, West Virginia to the late Rev. C. D. and Glady (Ritchie) Harris.
Formerly of West Virginia, she has lived in Portage County for 57 years, is a lifetime member of Blackhorse Baptist Church and was a 1942 graduate of Calhoun County High School.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years Henry, daughter Donna (Kevin King) Heiney of Ravenna, sons Roger Heiney of Ravenna, Denny (Renee) Heiney of Fairlawn, Jeff (Andrea) Heiney and Chris Heiney both of Ravenna, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Mary Tschantz, son Ronald G. Heiney, Sr., sisters Leota Fultz and Juanita Waggner and brothers Bill Harris and Rev. Ray Harris.
Calling hours were held Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Shorts Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Dallas Sanford and Rev. Lorren Roberts officiating. Entombment will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. |
