Harold "Tater" Hunt, 90, of Byron, Georgia, formerly of Walton, West Virginia, died Sunday, September 30, 2007.
"Tater" was born in Walton, a son of the late Sherman and Osha Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Juanita Lee Hunt; an infant son; two brothers, Esten and Farris Hunt; one sister, Metta Harper.
He was a four-year resident of Byron and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was Papaw and Pop to his grandchildren and friends.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Doris "D." and "Jim-Nathan" Harden of Byron, GA, Pat and Ray Hubbard of Annandale, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Sandra Hunt of Byron, GA, Carl Hunt of Congress, AZ, and Arlen and Joan Hunt of Los Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 5, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jerry Board officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Walton.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the donor's favorite charity. |
