Willard W. Roach, 69, of Vincent, Ohio, died on Oct. 1, 2007, at his residence.
He was born in Calhoun County, W.Va., on Sept. 27, 1938, and was the son of the late Kenna W. and Thelma Sampson Roach. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and retired as a truck driver from the Consolidated Freight. He was a veteran of the Army and served in Alaska.
Survivors include his daughter, Anita Hale and her husband, Leonard, of Vincent, Ohio; his son, Mark Roach and his wife, Diana, of Little Hocking, Ohio; his daughter, Alicia Hubbard of Cutler, Ohio; six grandchildren, Rebecca Townsend, Donald Hale, Jessica Roach, Jacob Roach, Quentin Hubbard and Michael Hubbard; three great-grandchildren, Linzy Townsend, Myah Townsend and Jaden Hale; and two brothers, Albert Roach and his wife, Maxine, and Rex Roach and his wife, Kathy, all of Little Hocking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rebecca Wilcoxen Roach; a son, Joseph A. Roach; a brother, Ernest Roach; and an infant great-granddaughter, Nikky Townsend.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Pastor Rob Clegg officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Belpre Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Parkersburg Post 15 of the American Legion. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
