| William A. Stalnaker, Sr., 80, of Annamoriah, West Virginia, passed away Friday, September 28, 2007 at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville.
He was the son of the late Eucal and Thelma Arnold Stalnaker. He was retired from Cabot Gas, and Stalnaker Grocery. He was a WWII veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean McKown Stalnaker; two sons, William A. Stalnaker, Jr. (Becky) of Elizabeth, and Robert Neal Stalnaker (Georgia) of Annamoriah; four daughters, Sharon Gherke (Bill) of Grantsville, Beth Alltop (Hugh) of Annamoriah, Connie Roberts (Rodney) of Mineral Wells, and Melissa Layhew (Todd) of Ripley. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Janice Wise of Ohio, Loretta Heidish of Florida, and Mary Jane Mack of Arizona, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Edwin Stalnaker.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 30 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. C.W. McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Minnora Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
