Calhoun High students, parents and friends
met early yesterday in front of the school
"Gather, unite, pray, come together." - John 17
Calhoun High School students, parents and friends held prayer around the flag pole at Calhoun Middle-High School yesterday morning before school opened.
The group was led in several prayers as the morning sun shed light on the school.
See You at the Pole⢠isn't about groups, grades, clothes, or churches, said one of the organizers Briana Blankenship.
"It's about praying. It's about all of us laying aside our differences and coming together, for one day, simply to call out to God in prayer, just as Jesus did in John 17," she said.
The event was student initiated, student organized, and student led. It was not only be happening locally, but at other high-schools across the nation, and even the world.
SYATP student leaders included Kayla Miller, Briana Blankenship, Stephanie Stacy, Hannah Wilson and Jordan Mace.
