Harley C. Conley, 87, of Left Hand, died Sunday, September 23, 2007, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Harley A. and Martha Jo Conley at Looneyville.
He was born July 19, 1920, at Tariff, a son of the late Homer S. and Levada Fields Conley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jo Truman Conley, October 25, 2006; four sisters, Helen Jarvis, Hallie Conley, Jacqueline Jones and Imogene Conley; two brothers, Mac Conley and Lewis Conley.
Harley was a school bus driver, laborer, a member of the Teamster's Union, and a well known horseman. He was also a member of the Henry's Fork Baptist Church, Tariff.
In addition to his son, Harley A. Conley of Looneyville, survivors include two daughters, Linda Starcher of Ripley and Peggy Nichols of Canton, OH; one brother, Homer J. Conley of Smithville; one sister, Josephine Goncy of Dayton, OH; nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Leon B. Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. |
