Got an e-mail from Ruth Boyd and she talked about going for a walk down memory lane up past Nancy McGeorge's and on up to Ida Sampson's house. Well Ruth, Nancy's house is gone but I think of her every time I pass that way. I remember Aunt Ida, she used to take my sister and I for visits to Nancy's, Maude Yost, and Effie Cars. She was a big, gruff, woman and we liked her.

Glen Siers was kind enough to drive me to the store for milk and then he took me 4-wheeling up on the right away behind his house to where we could see the horse arena here above the Upper West Fork Community Park. It was beautiful and I did notice that the very top of the trees on the hill was a little wilted. I thought that strange.

Glen had a visitor one evening. A dog showed up at his house that had one of those shocker collars on and Glen had seen the dog before but couldn't place it. The dog was as happy as could be with Glen's dogs, ate their food and spent the night on the rug in front of the screen door. Glen thought that he had seen the dog down at Michelle Lane's and he called her mother Carolyn and they came and got the dog. I loved hearing Glen tell about how happy the dog was. He is such a good story teller.

Charles Haverty stopped by for a visit and is doing fine. It's always good to see Charley.

Blaine King and I were over on Grannyshee to the old Marion King place. He said the old house must be well over 100 years old. I love those old places and enjoyed sitting on the porch.

Jamie Jarvis has had a new baby boy named Hunter and he was a month old Sunday. He's a beautiful baby.

Susan Conrad, her sister Robin, her mother Carol and her other sister who lives west of Charleston stopped by to bring back some egg cartons and visit with Ray and I for a few minutes. Carol had hurt herself helping her husband Paul work on a new front porch. Carol only laughs at the pain knowing it will pass. She's a tough cookie.

John Empson visited with Ray and I for a while Monday evening. It was good to see him. Daddy didn't remember him, and I told him that John and he cheated Aunt Verba and I at Rook for years. Still he didn't remember. They got away with it, but that's OK, we had a lot of fun even though Aunt Verba and I didn't win much.

It's just beautiful here and hope that it is where ever you are. Have a wonderful week!
