Betty Jean Clowser, 59, of Chapel Route, Gassaway, passed
away Sept. 24, 2001, in Braxton County Memorial Hospital after an extended
illness.
She was born July 12, 1942, a daughter of the late David and Sarah Nicholas.
She was also preceded in death by: son, Steven Clowser; brother, Ernest
Nicholas.
She was a retired kindergarten teacher's aide at Davis Elementary, Gassaway,
with 27 years of service and a member of Bender Run Baptist Church.
Surviving: husband, Frank Teddy Clowser; sons, Frankie Clowser of Chapel
Route, Gassaway, Mark Clowser of Lagrange, Ohio; daughters, Cindy Morgan
of Grantsville, Janet Butler of Frametown; grandchildren, Frankie Clowser II,
Brittany, Chase, Shane and Alexandria Clowser, Clint and Shayna Hartshorn,
Joshua and Jessica Hupp and Ethan Butler; sisters, Faye Tucker, Ida Stout,
Wilsie Cottrell, Alice Sawyer, Mary Duckworth and Alma Lee Duffield, all of
Gassaway; brother, Charles Nicholas of Gassaway.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home,
Gassaway, with Elder Charles Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Bender Run
Cemetery, Chapel.
