Cottey
College, a two-year liberal arts and sciences
school for women, located in Nevada, Missouri is
offering prospective students an opportunity
to "C" the college during two weekend events.
Unique to Cottey is the International
Experience for all second-year students.
Each
student will have the opportunity to travel
abroad as part of the curriculum. Past trips
have included London, Paris, and Madrid.
Best of
all, the program will not cost the students any
additional money, either in program or
transportation fees or in tuition increases.
Caitlin Weaver, a second year Cottey
student from Grantsville, West Virginia returned to Cottey
on August 25.
Caitlin is active in Cottey POPS
(choir) and is the Suite Chairperson for the
Ohio Suite.
Caitlin has chosen Florence, Italy
as her International Experience destination this
year.
The "C" For Yourself Weekends are schedule for
October 19-21, 2007 and April 18-20, 2008.
Students will spend two nights in one of the
college's suites, see the state-of-the-art
facilities during a campus tour, and get the
latest information about admission, financial
aid and transferring.
Prospective students will
also have the opportunity to meet with faculty
and current students in the academic areas they
are planning to pursue. A shuttle is available
from the Kansas City Airport to Cottey College.
