Welcome back to Beason. We are glad you came!

Boy Scouts begin on September 10. If any Beason folks have a son, cousin, nephew, etc. that might be interested, let me know. You can contact me at fieldaflowas@yahoo.com or 659-2117. We would love to have new members especially from our neck of the woods.

School has been in for a couple weeks now. So far, so good. No major injuries to report thus far (skinned knees are life-threatening in Avery's eyes). No conflicts of interest brought to my attention (from school that is). Although it seems Ethan and I have several conflicts of interest. For example, he can recall every detail of Star Wars but cannot recall me telling him to pick up clothes. Why is that? I think they call it selective hearing.

Harry Taylor began his dialysis last week. I have been his personal chauffeur for two days. I love that job! He always has an interesting tale, but is an overall pleasant conversationalist. Whereas, if I drove my own mother somewhere, you know how it would go. I would be reminded of any stoplights, speed zones or anything bad that I have done at any given time. You can't get out of that conversation, jumping out of a moving vehicle is not really an option.

It was great to see "Aunt Pete" back at the Studio this past week. She has definitely won the "Big Hair Contest" for this week. Will she be able to pull it off next week? You'll have to tune in again to find out. It is rumored that Pete's sister has become a biker chick. Way to go sis! You have my stamp of approval.

We had another special client visit the Studio this week. His name is Mr. Gene Simmons. Well, Mr. Gene Simmons-in-training. His given name is Daniel and he is in the neighborhood of 8 years old. I think he is well on his way to being a star. It is said that he might allow his big brother, C.R. to open his show for him. I am pretty sure KISS is going to have some serious competition. It wouldn't shock me to see Daniel even grab his own reality show. Remember you heard it hear first.

I think everyone has been working on hay this past week. We had some, but nothing "extry" (that means "extra" in The Big Book of Farm Language). I am not quite familiar yet with all those foreign words. I don't participate in the hay deal. Mainly for two reasons, one being the price isn't right and two being I don't dig manual labor. Truthfully, my allergies can't handle hay very well.

We have all kind of deer at our house. They usually find their way to our yard when I get the kids to the car in the morning. I have tried to take some pictures but with no luck. It's difficult when a little person (who shall remain nameless, but is a little 5 year old redhead) says "Hey, look, a deer!" at the top of his lungs. He gets more and more like me everyday. He also has an issue with being quiet. But what would the world be without us? Probably a little more peaceful.

I am closing this week with some words of wisdom. Well, maybe not quite as profound as Emerson, but worth thinking about. "Always forgive, never regret."- Rascal Flatts.

Dream big. Life is short.
