Kevin Church of Vaughan Road, a longtime employee of Frontier Telephone and a well-known Calhoun minister, was
injured Monday morning at his residence, when he was struck by a run-away ATV. Church was life-flighted by HealthNet from Pleasant Hill shortly after the 10:30 a.m. accident to Charleston Area Medical Center. The ATV reportedly broke loose, striking Church and pinning him to a garage door. Family members said he was released from the hospital later yesterday, suffering from multiple rib fractures. Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD responded to the incident. A single-vehicle accident on Rt. 5 near the Calhoun-Wirt line at 3:20 p.m. sent one person to Minnie Hamilton Health System, the extent of injury was unknown.
