David Glendon (Buck) Marks, Sr., 63, of Millstone, West Virginia, passed away August 26, 2007 at Charleston Area Medical Center.
Born in Calhoun County he was a son of Mabel Poling Marks of Grantsville, West Virginia and the late Walter C. Marks. He was a former truck driver and mechanic and was a member of the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Deborah Louise Miller Marks of Millstone; son, David Glendon Marks Jr., and his wife Tina Louise of Mt. Zion; 4 daughters, Patricia Louise Hall and her husband Ricky Lee Hall, Sr. of Arnoldsburg, Paula Denise King and her husband Paul Glen King of Millstone, Teresa Sue Marks and her fiancée T.J. Stout, Jr. of Salem, and Brenda Hicks of Belpre, Ohio.
Also, 2 brothers, John Ray Marks of Medina, Ohio, and Billy Joe Marks of Grantsville; 4 sisters, Barbara Bush and Connie McCartney of Grantsville, Mae Lemon of LeCanto, Florida and Erma Sinns of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Sabrina, Brittany and Trenton King, Michelle, Ricky, Jr. and Stephanie Hall, David, III, Brandon and Jacob Marks, Stephanie Stout, and Rebecca Hicks.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by twin sons, Larry and Jerry Marks, paternal grandparents, Fred and Mina Rush Marks, maternal grandparents, Dave and Orpha Schoolcraft Poling.
He was an outdoors-man who loved to fish and hunt and play pool. He was a people person who never met a stranger and always had a story to tell.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 30 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Reverends Ben Kerby and Cleston Garrett will officiate. Interment will be in the Poling-Marks Cemetery at Millstone.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. |
