MOTHER SHOOTS DAUGHTER, SELF - Police believe a mother fatally shot her teenage daughter with a .410 shotgun before turning the gun on herself.
The apparent murder-suicide happened Wednesday at their home near the Putnam and Lincoln county line.
The two victims' names were not being released.
Police say the mother's husband found the bodies and then called police.
Police said it wasn't immediately known if the mother and daughter had an argument or were having any sort of problems.
JUVENILE ARREST IN CHARLESTON MURDER - Charleston police arrested a teenager Wednesday and charged him in the murder of Leland Chace Miller on Charleston's East End.
"I had nothing to do with that," the suspect told reporters, saying he wasn't there. His name was not release because he is 16-years-old.
Miller, who would have turned 18 on Tuesday, was shot once in the back and then several times in the chest as he lay on the ground, police said.
The suspect and Miller were friends, James said, but had a fight several days before the shooting.
MAN STABBED HIMSELF - The man stabbed at Yeager Airport last week did it to himself, an airport spokesman said this week.
Bobby L. Hughart, 33, initially told airport police a story that didn't make sense, authorities said.
Yeager Airport police plan to file charges against Hughart for filing a false police report.
